Vinkel has the basic ligatures. Arrows with open and closed circles come with all weights, as well as boxes, circles, triangles etc.

Saku Heinänen has a long career as a graphic designer and type designer. The versatile and friendly Freya was his first typeface family, and it is distributed by Village. Vinkel is a large sans serif family, distributed by the Finnish type foundry Typolar. A custom type family for Yle (Finnish Broadcasting Company) is his most extensive commissioned type design.

Saku has worked as lecturer and professor of Visual Communication Design in Aalto University, and continues there as a part-time teacher.

Saku is currently active as writer and illustrator. His first book, a novel for children called Zaida ja lumienkeli (Zaida and the Snow Angel) came out in 2014 to critical acclaim and was nominated for the Finlandia Junior and Arvid Lydecken prizes. The independent sequel, Zaida ja elovalkeat (Zaida and the Heat Lightning) was published in May 2015. In 2016, he illustrated Salla Simukka´s novel Sisarla (Sisterland).
